The best thing about Halloween is carving pumkins. In fact, we spent two evenings this year carving our new creations! We turned out the lights and turned off the flash to get the pics to turn out. We carved a couple of them tonight with Mekell and Greg, they will probably have some pics of theirs posted on their blog soon.

On another note, Tiki went in for a check up on her hip yesterday. While she was in Melissa knocked her out and cleaned her teeth. No more bad breath! (For a little while).

It's Halloween Time!

Here are some pics of the dogs, we tried to make Tiki 'snow white' but she was too big for the costume. She was really depressed about it... At least Vinnie and Shortie's costumes worked! We are going to watch 'The Strangers' tonight, it will be part of our halloween movie marathon. Halloween is coming soon! We are looking forward to carving pumpkins this next week! We'll be sure to post some pics of those too. Hope all is well!

A trip back to Idaho

My Dad and I took a trip back up to Lava yesterday. We needed to bring home the atv trailer and a few other things that were still up there. We met up with The Millers in Malad, ID when we were done loading things up and spent the rest of the day riding atv's. Malad is a really fun place to go riding! One of the trails requires you to ride up stream in a river for a few hundred feet and it can be pretty challenging when the water levels are high. Luckily, after waking up at 5am and spending the day riding, the kids weren't too wound up when I got home and they let me go to bed early! I think they're getting bored with me and they miss their mom.

By ourselves for the rest of the week

Melissa flew out today for her vet conference in Reno and She won't be back until Sunday evening. I'm going to be pretty bored while She's gone. The kid's are definitely going to miss her. I'll probably make a trip to the store and spoil them some new toys and treats! By the way, Indiana Jones was just as bad the second time. Melissa disagrees with me but I think She feels obligated to like it because She liked the first three.

3 years!

Today is our 3 year anniversary! We didn't really plan any celebrations in advance so we kind of winged it. I had never been to the new movie theater in Ogden so we went bowling and saw a movie. I bowled a 152 and Melissa got a 105. As long as we break 100 we're both happy. The movie we saw was 'Eagle eye'. Melissa liked it but I wasn't a fan. I'm still trying to decide which is more un-believable: The entire Eagle eye movie or Indiana Jones surviving a nuclear blast inside a refrigerator. Anyway, We're going to watch the new Indiana Jones movie again tonight, maybe it won't suck as bad the second time seeing it.

Global warming?

Ok, I think we can finally put this whole stupid global warming debate to rest. Obviously we haven't done enough to warm things up! Case closed.

End of the season

Winter weather is coming so we decided to bring the trailer home for the season. (My parents own some land in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho). We only made it about 20 feet and got a flat tire! It didn't take too long to put the spare on so it wasn't a big deal. I hope spring comes early so we can get back to camping again.

I see dead people!

We went to the 'B0dy worlds' exhibit in Salt Lake today. This was copied from it's website so we can give you an idea of what it is:

It was very cool. The way the bodies are preserved is pretty amazing.
